Word of net has been spreading about Rich Morris's epic adventure, The Ten Doctors. After two and half years, this amazing comic has finally come to a close. No matter which Doctor or companion was your favorite, you are sure to find them well represented in this story. The official Doctor Who site from BBC television, with all the latest extras on the most recent episodes. There are pictures and sound bytes from various shows, and games based on favorite characters and adventures. Though the video tidbits are geo-locked, BBCAmerica eventually gets most of them(or even You-tube).

Our usual source for radio Doctor Who - has no Doctor Who this week. A documentary by Doctor Who writer Mark Gatiss On The Outside It Looked Like An Old Fashioned Police Box, exploring the Target novelizations of Doctor Who, will air Tuesday 23rd on Radio 4. If you want to hear Mark Gatiss this week, tune into Man in Black for his stories - this week two children enter a world where time has stopped.
Instead, on Radio 7, we have more 1950s sci-fi fever with Space Force Series 1,starring Nicky Henson, Nigel Stock and Barry Foster, by Charles Chilton, creator of "Journey Into Space" If that's not enough, the space adventures from the 50's continue with Space Force Series 2 Why the revival of 1950's science fiction? Listen to the producer Charles Chilton, 20yrs ago, 30yrs after the making of it in A Short Journey Into Space part 5 of 8.(Ten minutes long)
Other sci-fi tales offered this week: The Midwich Cuckoos -3parts. Ep 2: The alien children start to make their presence felt in John Wyndham's classic. With Charles Kay and Pauline Yates. HG Wells story A Dream of Armageddon plays part 2 of 2.
For book lovers - the last in the trilogy Silent Vulcan, by James Follet, part 5 is read by Nigel Anthony. And Short Stories by Robert Heinlein this week delves into the psyche of a traumatized spaceman with Ordeal In Space.
Using the Listen Again feature, each story is available for 7 days after broadcast.
Big Finish creates a new Doctor Who audio adventure every month, plus short stories of the Doctor or popular characters and favorite villains. The cast from the TV show is used when possible. It's a great way to catch up on adventures that never made it over to Ohio’s airwaves. Catch their podcasts for behind the scenes interviews, and some free short stories. Get the news first, and hear about Susan Foreman's planned adventure with the 8th Doctor, An Earthly Child, coming in December 2009.

Doctor Who is 45 years old, November 23rd, 2008. BBC created a wonderful archive about the history of the shows creation, with documents and hand written notes preserved within. They reveal some surprising twists of the various concepts of what the show might have been about, and how the BBC struggled with the concept of how to present science fiction stories in a television format.

The British forayer into American TVland, BBC America now shows Doctor Who episodes and other British sci-fi and drama on their channel, and offers Doctor Who videos, games and quizzes as well - nothing locked this time. Its worth a look to see this American channel of British shows.

The Official Doctor Who Search Engine - it's Google with a Doctor Who color scheme, but charities Comic Relief and Children In Need benefit from the ads used, so double the goodness with your searches.
