Our club members enjoy going on field trips or to car pool to various gatherings or conventions. The latest trip this fall was when a group went to Who North America, a shop in Indiana geared for Doctor Who fans. Most of their business is from their website, but let us know that (by appointment only) they make the store available for customers to visit in person. Unable to resist the urge to stroll through aisle after aisle of whovian collectables and gizmos, a trip was soon in the making.

Greg and Andrew at Who North America Jarod ponders the choices in yet another aisle Cabinet of rare collectables Greg playing Doctor Who Pinball

Andrew's report:

Tue Sep 18, 2007

Last week on Tuesday September 11th, some of us went to Indianapolis to visit WhoNA.com's warehouse.

Andrew, Jarrod, and Greg attended, and we finally left around 10:45am. After 3 hours, it wasn't to hard to find, just a few blocks from the Indy airport, in a business park.

They don't have a store per se, but they have a backroom warehouse, and a front office.

The warehouse was 20ft by 30ft and had standard grocery store shelving, but on the top shelf, and extending all the way to the ceiling were cases upon cases of DW toys and figures. They had 2 whole aisles of figures, one for books, and another for CD's, DVD's and other stuff.

They also had a set of display cabinets where they showed off the whole line of DW stuff, and some rarities from their own collections. They also had a DW Pinball machine, which was set to freeplay, and did we ever!

Overall it was a great time, and we plan to go back again when the time is right.
